MV-82 — Vehicle Registration / Title Application
Required for registering a vehicle or applying for a title. Used for new registrations, renewals, and transfers.
MV-82B — Boat Registration / Title Application
Required for registering a boat or applying for a boat title in New York State.
MV-82TON — Truck, Tractor or Other Vehicle Registration
Used for registering trucks, tractors, and other commercial vehicles over 18,000 lbs.
DTF-802 — Sales Tax Form (Bill of Sale)
Required when purchasing a vehicle from a private party. Documents the sale price for sales tax purposes.
DTF-803 — Claim for Sales Tax Exemption
Used to claim an exemption from sales tax on a vehicle purchase (e.g., gift, inheritance).
DTF-804 — Statement of Transaction for a Gift of a Motor Vehicle
Required when a vehicle is given as a gift between immediate family members.
